Tallit and Tefillin for Bar Mitzvah

Kav HaChesed does not forget any child.

Twice a year Kav HaChesed holds festive Bar Mitzvah parties for dozens of children from all over the country, and at the height of the celebration, the Bar Mitzvah children are given a tallit and a pair of fancy tefillin, the children come from all over the country: from Katsrin, Hadera, Ramla, Rosh Ha'Ein and Jerusalem.

Children for hard-to-find families, single-parent families, new immigrants and families blessed with children. Each child happily receives a tallit and a pair of fancy tefillin, clothing and other accompanying accessories. A rich mitzvah meal is held around prepared tables and a sweet bar graces the occasion to the sound of happy music.

In the morning, the tefillin laying ceremony was held at the Western Wall with excitement for the first time!!! When each child receives a pair of fancy tefillin from Kav HaChesed with love and warmth, the children place them with holiness and supreme joy. Later... a tour of the tunnels of the Western Wall was held with everyone praying in front of the Holy of Holies, after which the Bar Mitzvah party was held, a festive and rich meal prepared by the best chefs. At the table, the mitzvah children and their families sit side by side, listening with great attention to a fascinating story about the virtue of the mitzvot of tefillin. Later, sweet boys from yeshivah join the young people of the Merkaz Harav Yeshivah dancing and making merry, carrying the Bar Mitzvah boys on their shoulders and dancing until there is no limit....... Joy breaks through a barrier!!! Each child receives at the meal a CD with all the photos taken in the morning during the prayer at the Western Wall with hundreds of photos that everyone can develop according to their choice.

The joy is indescribable, the holy atmosphere and the satisfaction of all of us... finishing the Bar Mitzvah party with happiness and joy and already.....organizing for the next Bar Mitzvah party.

To make one child happy at the Bar Mitzvah celebration, we need an amount of NIS 2600. The costs are:

• Tallit and a pair of tefillin 1800 NIS
• A respectable clothing set NIS 500
• The cost of the dining hall and the music is NIS 300
